Consulting and Video Services:

History:

I started Interactive Video Associates in 1985 when I was a video producer and Assistant Professor at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.  I taught video production in those early days and encountered several individuals in the community and beyond who were seeking someone to produce corporate training videos and commercials for their businesses.  I began with the name Independent Video Associates, but years later, when I changed jobs to work for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, I suspended my personal business activities.   I was a television producer for NASA and eventually helped start its Digital Learning Network™.  The DLN grew to include all 10 NASA Centers providing live, educational video conferences to students and teachers in the U.S. and beyond. In time, I  became the project manager of the DLN in addition to the NASA Classroom of the Future (COTF) and the NASA Educator Professional Development Network (EPDN).

I retired from NASA in 2014.  Shortly thereafter, I restarted my old business renaming it Interactive Video Associates primarily because of the expertise gained in the use of interactive technologies for NASA while also earning a doctorate in Distance Learning & Educational Technology during my time with the Agency.
